    Abstract:

Abstract: Objective: The influence of skull thickness on intracranial indexes was studied by finite element method. Methods: The head of the woman at the 5th percentile was selected for CT scanning to construct a finite element model of the head with high biosimulation degree, and the model was verified by reconstructed cadaver test. The finite element model of the head with different skull thickness was established, and multiple groups of tests were carried out to compare the intracranial index data. Results: The results showed that the negative value of intracranial pressure was significantly affected with the decrease of skull thickness under the same head size, and the negative value of intracranial pressure was slightly affected, but the shear stress and von Mises stress of brain tissue were significantly increased with the increase of skull thickness. Conclusion: Under the same head size, the skull thickness will affect the head injury to a certain extent, and people with a small skull thickness are more likely to be injured than those with a large skull thickness.
