    Abstract:

Objective With the continuous improvement of people"s living standards, more and more people choose to use fitness equipment for daily exercise in the gym. This article analyzes and studies the biomechanical and dynamic characteristics of the human body caused by the exercise crowd when using the elliptical cross trainer. Methods An elliptical cross trainer model was established by Solidworks software, a human skeletal muscle model was established in Anybody software, and then the human skeletal muscle model and the elliptical cross trainer model were coupled and simulated. Results The analysis shows that when the human body is exercising on the elliptical machine, the stress on the spine starts from the lumbar spine T12 to the thoracic spine T5 and gradually increases and the force is greatest at T5. The three muscles with the highest muscle activation at the trunk are: External obliques, internal obliques, and transverse abdominal muscles. Conclusion It provides a reference for the human body to use the elliptical cross trainer for scientific training as a theoretical guide and the humanized design of the elliptical cross trainer.
